Caroline Kliess

Caroline is Managing Director at Clever Leaves Germany and has led the German pharma and medical cannabis markets. She has been responsible for bringing structured, commercial pharma expertise together with individualized medicine approaches needed in a broad range of indications. Prior to Clever Leaves, Caroline served as Director of Sales & Operations at Tilray Germany where she launched the first medical cannabis extracts into the German market after the 2017 law change. After studying Pharmacy at the University of Hamburg, Caroline also held multiple leadership positions during her 15-year tenure at Astra Zeneca Germany, from regional sales management to commercial head of oncology, leading teams of 150 employees. With 20 years of operational leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, covering disease areas such as Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Pain, Cardiovascular and Gastrointestinal disease.
