Patrick Volk

Patrick Volk has extensive work experience in engineering and software development, specifically in the rail transportation industry. Patrick has worked with companies such as Clever Devices, Siemens Mobility, Bombardier Transportation, Hatch Mott MacDonald, Cheetah Technologies, Compunetix, Ansaldo Signal, and Tracor Systems Technologies.

At Clever Devices, Patrick serves as a System Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at Siemens Mobility as a System Manager in Project/System Engineer, where they managed the LIRR M9 Cars project and provided technical guidance to engineers. Before that, they were a Contract Software Engineer at Siemens Mobility (East Pittsburgh) via Softpath System, where they developed legacy HDLC-based link and performed testing for the ACSES II OBC for AMTRAK and MBTA.

Patrick began their career at Ansaldo Signal, working on the Union Pacific Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) system and developing an XML design for block authorities.

Patrick's early experience also includes working as a Test Engineer III at Compunetix, Inc and as a Software Engineer/Computer Scientist at Tracor Systems Technologies, where they worked on various projects related to software testing, validation, and maintenance.
