Alanna Flores is an accomplished professional with a strong background in data science and software engineering. Currently serving as an Analyst in Data and Insights at The New York Times since September 2024, Alanna previously contributed as a Data Scientist at Schmidt Futures within the Technologists for Global Transformation Program from September 2022 to September 2024. Additional experience includes internships at The Washington Post, Recidiviz, and Accountability Counsel, as well as a fellowship at the Stanford Computational Policy Lab. Alanna holds a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, both from Stanford University.
