Jennifer Durán has served as Senior Major Gifts Officer at Climate Central since January 2022. She brings more than 13 years of development experience, most recently working for more than a decade for the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative, North America (DNDi). During her time there, she helped develop their individual giving program and advanced their US-based foundation work, helping them secure their largest foundation grant. She also spent several months at their Swiss headquarters in Geneva, where she helped to build the private fundraising strategy globally. Prior, she worked in the individual giving office for Children’s Aid and at a consulting firm where she provided development support to a variety of non-profit organizations in New York City. Jennifer transitioned to fundraising after working in a microbiology research laboratory at the University of Virginia, where she earned an MA in Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences, after graduating with a BA in Biological Sciences from Hunter College.
