Germaine Hood

Senior UX Designer at ClimateWorks Australia

Germaine is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of planning, implementation and administering the design and development of Climateworks’ new intranet.

Her role covers all aspects of the design process, including engagement with users, running workshops, prototyping designs and managing the relationship with developers and other subject matter experts.

In previous roles, Germaine has run her own freelance business, managing clients and timelines in addition to work deliverables. She has also navigated multiple re-brands, developing guidelines for new start-ups and companies looking to update their look and feel, and translated brand guidelines into low and high fidelity wireframes. Germaine was also responsible for developing a visual asset library for Mars Australia, to ensure consistent brand assets were being used.

Germaine holds a Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) with Swinburne University, a Diploma of User Experience Design with RMIT and a Diploma of Graphic Design with Billy Blue.
