Alifia M.

Head of Food Science at Climax Foods

Alifia M. has a wide range of work experience. Alifia began their career in 2010 as a Research Assistant at The Ohio State University. In 2011, they were a NSF REU Fellow at the National Science Foundation. In 2012, they were an Intern at the USDA and a Museum Development Intern at COSI - Center of Science and Industry. In 2014, they were an Executive Office Student Assistant at the California Environmental Protection Agency. From 2013 to 2018, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis. In 2018, they began working at Sensient Technologies Corporation as an Innovation Scientist and an Application Scientist. In 2020, they joined Climax as a Head of Food Science, Food Science R&D Manager, and Food Scientist.

Alifia M. has a Master of Science (M.S.) in Agricultural & Environmental Chemistry from the University of California, Davis, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Environmental Science from The Ohio State University, and they have studied Agricultural Economics, Environmental Science, and Chinese Theirtory at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Additionally, Alifia has obtained certifications from McCormick FONA, FONA International, and Net Impact at The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business, including FONA Flavor University Flavor 101 (2022), FONA Flavor University Flavor 101 (2017), FONA Flavor University Flavor 201 Beverage Flavor (2017), FONA Flavor University Flavor 201 Cereal, Bars, Bakery and Snacks (2017), and Sustainability Certification - Gold level (2013).
