Senior Software Engineer at Clinical Ink

Asad Mahmood has a diverse range of work experience. Asad worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Clinical Ink starting in 2023. Asad developed tools such as Mutant-X, an authorship obfuscation tool, and Obfuscation Detection, which utilized pre-trained language models for text analysis.

Furthermore, Asad worked as an AI/ML Engineer at GSK from May 2020 to August 2020, where they designed and implemented pipelines for fine-tuning BioBERT on Named Entity Recognition (NER) tasks. Additionally, they added BioBERT models to existing information extraction pipelines and integrated Metamap Entity Linking into existing APIs.

Before their roles at GSK, Asad worked as a Research Assistant at Lahore University of Management Sciences. Asad worked on various projects, including a reverse image search tool, automated detection of inappropriate video content on YouTube, and in-game analysis of soccer matches using a proprietary dataset.

Asad Mahmood pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences from 2014 to 2018. Following this, they went on to obtain their Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Iowa from 2018 to 2021.
