Katelyn Hyrkas has six years of work experience. Katelyn began in 2006 as a Receptionist and File Manager at de Beer & Associates. In 2012, they became an AmeriCorps VISTA Tutor Coordinator at the Saint Paul Public Schools Foundation, where they promoted high-quality tutoring at Riverview Elementary and managed, recruited, trained and supported volunteer tutors. In 2013, they took on the role of Compliance Coordinator - USAHS Program at CIEE, where they assisted in the vetting of host families and followed up on points of concern raised during application review. In 2015, they became a Patient Access Specialist at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare. Two years later, in 2017, they were a Clinical Lead Specialist for Physician Assistant Studies at Augsburg University. Most recently, in 2020, they took on two roles at Clinician Nexus: Business Development Lead and Customer Success Manager.

Katelyn Hyrkas received a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish Teaching from Winona State University in 2012. Katelyn also holds a certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange.
