Laurecia Dailey-Evans has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Laurecia began their career at the University of Illinois Hospital as a senior Medical Technologist and section supervisor in the microbiology laboratory. Laurecia then worked at Tucson Medical Center as an Assistant Supervisor in the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory, where they also performed routine benchwork and acted as a clinical instructor for medical technology students.

In 1990, Laurecia joined Sunquest Information Systems as a Senior Quality Control Specialist, where they worked closely with software developers to identify and resolve software defects. Laurecia also gained extensive experience and expertise with HL7 interfaces and wrote technical user documentation. Laurecia later became an Interface Analyst, negotiating specifications for interfacing third party software applications to the Sunquest Laboratory system.

In 1994, Laurecia took on the role of Senior Requirements Engineer, working directly with software developers to write requirements and assist in the design of new features. Laurecia also wrote interface specifications and participated in the design and certification testing of Meaningful Use 2014 certified HL7 interfaces. At Sunquest, they continued to serve as a Senior Requirements Engineer until 2014, working on the new Diagnostic Communities product as a Product Owner and Requirements Engineer.

In 2014, Laurecia joined Midas+, a Xerox Company, as a Business Analyst. Laurecia worked on CQM Meaningful Use interfaces for reporting core measures to CMS and led the development of a new Infection Surveillance module for reporting healthcare-associated infections to the NHSN via CDA documents.

In 2015, Laurecia returned to Sunquest Information Systems as a Senior Requirements Engineer. Laurecia served as the Product Owner and Requirements Engineer for the new Diagnostic Communities product, working in an Agile software development environment and being responsible for the final content of the product. The end dates for their roles at Sunquest are not provided, indicating that they are likely still currently employed there.

Laurecia Dailey-Evans completed their Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago from 1976 to 1980.
