Sobana Kenneth

Sobana Kenneth has a diverse range of work experience in finance and accounting roles. They started their career in 2007 as a Finance cum Human Resource Executive at Business Support Service Sri Lanka, where they were responsible for finance and admin department duties. They also assisted in creating HR procedures and processes and handled salary administration.

In 2009, Sobana joined the National Christian Council of Sri Lanka as an Assistant Finance Officer, where they were involved in bookkeeping and check-writing tasks, as well as checking partner's accounts.

They then worked as an Accountant at Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement of Sri Lanka from 2009 to 2010.

In 2010, Sobana joined the World Concern Development Organization as a Finance Officer, gaining experience in project coordination, procurement management, and audit procedures.

From 2011 to 2016, they worked as a Senior Finance Officer at ZOA, where they initiated a financial documents archive system and represented the organization at an annual financial meeting in the Netherlands.

In 2016, Sobana joined Yde Solutions Pty Ltd as a Finance and Office Administrative, where they built an efficient accounting department, implemented business process improvements, and reduced costs.

In 2017, Sobana had multiple roles. First, as an Intern at Hawker Brownlow Education, they designed a visual analytics dashboard using Google Maps to provide on-demand insights into customers' needs and improve sales.

Later, they worked as a Tax Accountant at H&R Block for a few months.

Sobana then joined SMSGlobal as an Accountant, starting in November 2017 until March 2022. Here, they were responsible for financial reporting, payroll, financial analysis, and business implementation projects.

Currently, since March 2022, Sobana works as a Finance Analyst at CLINUVEL PHARMACEUTICALS LTD.

Sobana Kenneth completed their education in various institutions. Sobana obtained a Masters degree in Business Analytics from La Trobe University between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management at the University of Colombo from 2010 to 2011. In 2008, they earned a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from the Advance Technical Institute (ATI). In terms of professional certifications, Sobana completed the CPA Australia Program in 2014. Sobana also received a Diploma in Human Resources Management from the London Business School - Sri Lanka in 2006. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Computer Studies from IDM Computer Studies, although the specific dates for this qualification are not provided. Sobana was also enrolled in the Institute of Certified Management Accountants Sri Lanka in 2013, although the degree obtained is unknown.
