The Role

We are looking for a Lending Sr Business Manager  to be part of this amazing fast-growing Fintech. At Clip He/She will play a critical part in helping the lending business to thrive, reaching the goals and participation in the Clip ecosystem.

The Lending Business Sr Manager will serve as the bridge between business strategy and product execution. This role will enclose a blend of strategic thinking, market analysis, product development and stakeholder management.

What will I be doing?

  • Lending Strategy & Alignment: Develop and execute a lending strategy that aligns with the overarching business goals of the lending institution, incorporating market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to drive growth and profitability.

  • Lending Development Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the development of lending products, from concept to launch, ensuring that product initiatives are aligned with business objectives and deliver value to both customers and stakeholders.

  • Feature Prioritization & Roadmap Planning: Prioritize product features based on business impact, market demand, and technical feasibility, while maintaining a strategic product roadmap that addresses short-term priorities and long-term objectives.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Champion a customer-centric approach to product development, advocating for user experience enhancements and continuously seeking ways to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Effectively communicate product updates, milestones, and strategic initiatives to internal stakeholders, executives, and external partners, fostering alignment and support for product initiatives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, operations, and other business units to ensure alignment and integration of product initiatives with broader business strategies and objectives.

  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the product team, encouraging experimentation, feedback-driven iteration, and a willingness to adapt to changing market dynamics and customer needs.

  • Risk Management & Compliance: Assess and mitigate risks associated with lending products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, while also safeguarding the institution’s reputation and financial integrity.

  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance and success, conducting regular analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization to drive business outcomes.

  • Market Research & Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer preferences through ongoing market research and competitive analysis, driving innovation and differentiation in lending products and services.

Technical: 

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to derive actionable insights from customer data, market trends, and product performance metrics, informing strategic decision-making and product optimizations.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex challenges related to product development, market dynamics, and business strategy in the lending industry.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, build consensus, and foster collaboration across diverse teams and departments.

  • Agile Product Development: Experience working in Agile environments, employing methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban to drive iterative and collaborative product development processes.

  • User Experience Design: Understanding of UX principles and methodologies to collaborate effectively with design teams and create intuitive, user-friendly lending product interfaces that enhance customer satisfaction and engagement.

  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant technologies and platforms used in lending software development, such as cloud computing, APIs, databases, and security protocols, to facilitate product innovation and scalability.

  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor product development initiatives effectively, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business priorities.

Ideal Candidate 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).

  • +5 years of experience and proven track record of success in developing and executing business strategies, preferably in the Fintech or traditional Banking industry. (Business Lending Background)

  • Extensive knowledge of lending products from a Business and Lending perspective, and regulatory compliance in the Mexican market (preferable).

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal

  • Live in Mexico City
