Sonesh Surana

Sonesh Surana has held various positions in the engineering field over the past 15 years. In 2008, they were Co-Founder of QVSense. From 2009 to 2012, they were Director of Software Engineering at Solar Semiconductor (P) Ltd. At Optimizely, they held the roles of VP of Engineering, Senior Director of Engineering, and Director of Engineering from 2012 to 2021. Since 2021, they have been Gratitude Officer at Gratitude Break. Most recently, in 2023, they were appointed VP of Engineering at Clipboard Health.

Sonesh Surana began their educational career at Indian School, Kuwait from 1994 to 1997. Sonesh then attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1997 to 1998. Afterwards, they enrolled in Carnegie Mellon University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from 1998 to 2001. Sonesh then returned to University of California, Berkeley and obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science from 2001 to 2004. Finally, they completed their education by obtaining a PhD in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley from 2004 to 2009.
