Matheus Valois

Matheus Valois has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2018 as an Office Assistant at ISEC - Instituto Superior De Educacao Continuada. In 2020, they worked as an International Scout Instructor at Scout Adventures, where they conducted guided tours and instructed water activities and high ropes for children, youth, and adults.

Also in 2020, they co-founded and worked as an Educational Consultant at Global Academy - Educação Internacional, where they provided assistance to students seeking admission to universities in the US, Canada, UK, and Portugal. Matheus'stasks included grades conversion, SAT/ACT preparation, essay assistance, legal documentation, visa processes, and travel arrangements.

In 2021, Matheus took on various roles. At UNICEF Brasil, they worked as a Program Mentor, organizing lectures and workshops to encourage citizen participation among young people. Matheus also worked as a Field Intern at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, supporting refugees and displaced people in the state of Pará. Additionally, they served as a Youth Consultant at UNFPA Brasil, facilitating dialogue and providing support to young people involved in the regional strategy.

In 2022, Matheus joined Cloudbeds as a Customer Support Coach.

Matheus Valois started their education at Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana (UNILA) in 2019 and is expected to complete their Bachelor's degree in International Relations by 2023. In 2020, they participated in a course on Citizen Politics in America: Public Opinion, Elections, Interest Groups, and the Media at Harvard University. Additionally, in the same year, they completed a course on International Organizations Management at the University of Geneva. Matheus also took another course at Harvard University in 2020, focusing on U.S. Political Institutions: Congress, Presidency, Courts, and Bureaucracy.

In terms of certifications, Matheus obtained several qualifications throughout their education. In 2021, they obtained the Fundamentals of Identity Management and Registration (IMR) certification from UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Matheus also obtained the Camp Coordination and Camp Management certification and the Protection Induction Programme certification, both from the same institution, earlier in the year. In 2020, they completed a certification in Strategic Negotiation from LinkedIn, as well as Digital Skills certifications in Digital Marketing and Social Media from Accenture. Prior to that, in 2019, they obtained the II Campamento Regional de Liderazgo - Juventudes Ya! certification from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Matheus also achieved the English - TOEFL ITP - B2 certification from The TOEFL® test and completed certifications in An Introduction to Humanitarian Action and Interamerican Leadership Training from the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) in 2019.
