Jared Chia has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Jared began their career as a Customer Support Representative at Scotiabank, where they worked their way up from a teller to back office and eventually to the position of greeter. During this time, they gained valuable skills and versatility to adapt to the changing needs of the bank.

In 2003, Jared worked as a Computer Lab Aide and Teacher's Assistant at Langara College, where they assisted students with their computer-related tasks and supported teaching activities.

Jared then joined Top Producer as a Technical Support Specialist in 2005, providing assistance to clients with technical issues.

In 2006, Jared worked as a Help Desk Analyst at IBM/Kelly Services, facilitating the transition of IT infrastructure from in-house to IBM services for GAP Inc. headquarters.

From 2006 to 2011, Jared worked at Carnival Cruise Line. Initially, they served as an Assistant Information Systems Manager, supporting the Senior Information Systems Manager in handling IT-related issues onboard the vessel. Jared was later promoted to the position of Senior IS Manager, where they were responsible for managing the Informations Systems department aboard the ship and leading a team.

In 2011, Jared joined Gener8 Digital Media Corp as an IT Support Engineer. Jared worked within a small team of IT professionals, managing all aspects of IT and gradually took on additional responsibilities, such as SAN/NAS storage management, network management, rendering farm troubleshooting, and personnel training.

Since 2014, Jared has been working at Cloudreach. Jared started as a Core Operations Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Cloud Operations Manager. In this role, they focused on developing a team of talented Cloud engineers and successfully managed, monitored, and improved a large number of customer environments. During their tenure, Jared played an instrumental role in transitioning the Operations team into a new squad structure and implementing targeted strategies to reduce monitoring alert volume, incident SLA breaches, and open ticket count.

Overall, Jared has a strong background in IT support and management, with a particular expertise in cloud operations and customer service. Jared has consistently taken on additional responsibilities and demonstrated the ability to adapt to changing environments and requirements.

Jared Chia has a diverse educational background and has also obtained several certifications. Jared attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2008, where they studied Network and System Administration/Administrator. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, Jared attended Langara College, where they pursued a Cooperative Diploma in Computer and Information Sciences, General. Jared also completed an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in General Studies from Kwantlen Polytechnic University from 1999 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Jared has obtained numerous certifications. Jared became a Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate in April 2019. Jared also achieved the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification in December 2017, the Google Cloud Certified Professional - Cloud Architect certification in December 2017, and the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification in March 2017. Furthermore, Jared obtained the Google Apps: Deployment Services Specialist certification in February 2016 and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification in December 2014. Most recently, in December 2021, Jared completed the "Creating a Positive Customer Experience," "A Toolkit for Giving and Receiving Better Feedback," and "Leading Inclusive Teams" courses from LinkedIn. Jared also obtained certifications in "Coaching and Developing Employees" and "Hiring an Employee for Managers" in May 2021, and "Onboarding New Hires as a Manager" and "Make the Move from Individual Contributor to Manager" in April 2021. Finally, Jared obtained the "Leadership Fundamentals" certification from LinkedIn in November 2020, and the "Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions" certification from Microsoft in February 2020.
