Alex Schultz

Alex Schultz has over 18 years of work experience. In 2003, they began their career as a Systems Administrator at Electronic Clearing House. Alex then moved to NPOWR Digital Media in 2005 as a Senior Linux Administrator. In 2006, Alex began working at Photobucket.com as a Software Engineer & Architect. In 2009, they became a DevOps/IT Architect at SafetyWeb.com. In 2011, Alex was a Systems Architect at Experian Consumer Direct. Alex then moved to Rackspace, the Open Cloud Company in 2013 as a Linux System Engineer. In 2015, they joined Mirantis as a Senior DevOps Engineer. From 2016 to 2022, Alex worked at Red Hat as a Senior Principal Software Engineer, Principal Software Engineer, and Sr. Software Engineer, OpenStack. Currently, Alex is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Clumio.

Alex Schultz has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, obtained in 2003. Alex has also obtained several certifications since then, including a Mirantis Certified Administrator for OpenStack in April 2015, a Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Clustering and Storage Management in December 2014, a Red Hat Certified Engineer in October 2012, and a Red Hat Certified System Administrator in October 2012.
