Summary:

The Operations Supervisor (Floating) is a dual position, responsible for completing special projects and for supervising a processing shift. Special projects may include working in the field, interacting with CLYNK partners or customers, and collaborating with internal departments. While supervising a shift, responsibilities will include determining the productivity, safety, and organization of the shift and employees. This role reports directly to the Director of Operations. Candidates must have prior experience as a supervisor. 

This is a full-time position based out of our Biddeford, ME location. There may be occasional travel to other work sites including Oakland, ME and South Portland, ME. This is a Day shift position, working four 10-hour shifts to include one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) and three weekday shifts. Some evening availability is required, based on seasonal demand and operational needs. 

Responsibilities:

  • Meet productivity goals while ensuring efficient and accurate processing of product
  • Manage incoming bags from stores and coordinate their processing
  • Provide coaching to support employees in meeting performance and productivity expectations
  • Maintain machines in good condition and ensure proper functioning
  • Manage staffing levels, including handling call-outs
  • Maintain safety practices and enforce warehouse safety regulations
  • Ensure proper handling of the baling function during the shift
  • Know when to escalate issues to the Director of Operations or Maintenance Support
  • Assist in the processing process as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License, ability to be insured, and reliable transportation
  • Minimum 2 years experience in lean manufacturing or in a processing environment
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing a staff of 15+ people
  • Excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in operating forklift and baler
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Redemption Operations management and staff
  • Strong motivational and leadership abilities to keep the team productive
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify root causes of issues
  • Self-directed with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Effective communication skills and a good team player
  • Willingness to work weekend and/or evening shifts as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on occasion, stand several hours a day and climb ladders, bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist, push and pull and perform repetitive motions
