Overview

This position will be part of a VOX Global team supporting ESG/ Sustainability reporting for large global corporations with mature sustainability programs to midsize and smaller companies that are just getting started. It will also include support for overarching strategy and communications work across the sustainability landscape. Tasks include leading the development of ESG and sustainability reports, including recent global sustainability reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with leading reporting frameworks (CSRD/ESRS, GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB) and responding to ESG assessor requests such as CDP and S&P. Candidates will also contribute to or lead materiality assessments, goal setting, stakeholder engagement, executive thought leadership and multifaceted communications plans. The ideal candidate will have broader ESG/Sustainability knowledge, familiarity with the reporting space and can help navigate the evolving regulatory landscape, staying ahead of trends and evolving stakeholder expectations. 

A successful candidate will have experience managing ESG/Sustainability projects and clients, have excellent interpersonal skills, possess strong writing, data analysis and research skills, have strong attention to detail and project management, and be a willing and determined team player. 

The position will be based in Washington, DC, where our culture includes being in the office three days per week.

Qualifications

  • 4 – 7 years of experience in ESG/Sustainability; with a particular emphasis on reporting, data collection, communications, project management or issue advocacy.
  • Experience or strong familiarity with frameworks such as CSRD/ESRS, GRI, SASB and ISSB, as well as surveys such as CDP and S&P.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a team and lead major clients and/or projects, including report development or strategy execution, with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong project management experience, including timeline creation and management, budget oversight and staffing, development of tools to track complex projects with multiple work streams. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills that reflect 1) an ability to clarify and simplify complicated issues and diverse subject matter and 2) versatility in tone and technique depending on the author and/or audience. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, negotiate approvals diplomatically, and maintain composure and production quality under constant deadline pressure.
  • Experience interfacing directly with clients in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and deadlines.
  • Experience, or at minimum desire to gain experience, in cultivating new business – from networking to proposal and pitch development.

About VOX

The anticipated salary range for the Account Supervisor level is $80,000-$105,000. 

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
