Leslie Clayton, DMSc, PA-C has had a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations throughout their career. Leslie currently serves as the Program Director for Advanced Practice Providers - Practice Access and Efficiency at Fairview Health Services since October 2022.

Previously, Leslie held leadership positions with the American Academy of PAs, including serving as the First Vice-Speaker AAPA House of Delegates from July 2021 until present, and as the Second Vice Speaker/Director at Large from July 2019 to June 2021. At Oakstone Publishing, they worked as the Editor In Chief CMEinfo Insider for Family Medicine and as a Clinical Advisor from August 2018 to present.

Leslie also gained teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor and Assistant Professor at Saint Catherine University from August 2014 to present. Leslie Clayton, DMSc, PA-C has a diverse education history. Leslie obtained their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 1993. Following this, they pursued a Certificate in Physician Assistant Studies from Saint Francis University, graduating in 1998. In 2012, Leslie enrolled in the University of Nebraska Medical Center and earned a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, which they completed in 2014.

During their career, Leslie also sought further education in the field of Health/Health Care Administration/Management. In 2016, they pursued a Graduate Certificate from Arizona State University, which they obtained in 2017. Recently, Leslie has been working towards a Doctorate in Medical Science from Rocky Mountain College, expected to be completed in 2022.

In addition to their educational achievements, Leslie holds several certifications. Leslie is a Physician Assistant licensed by the MEDICAL PRACTICE, MINNESOTA BOARD OF since 2005. Leslie is also a Certified Medical Examiner certified by the Department of Transportation and Communications. Moreover, they obtained the NCCPA certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Lastly, Leslie is a PowerUser Certified by Epic, indicating their proficiency with the Epic software.
