Samantha Velazquez

Samantha Velazquez has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and research. Samantha started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Hutchinson And Dubrow Labs of Cognitive Neuroscience in 2019. Samantha then joined the University of Oregon Biology and the Built Environment Center as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in 2018 and later became a Graduate Research Assistant there from 2019 to 2020. Samantha then worked as a Bioinformatics Analyst I and a Research Associate at Fred Hutch from 2020 to 2021. Following this, they joined Phase Genomics as a Bioinformatician from 2021 to 2022. Samantha also worked at SEngine Precision Medicine as a Bioinformatics Data Specialist/Project Manager in 2022. Currently, they are an Associate - Consultant for Merck at CMK Select starting in 2023.

Samantha Velazquez pursued their education at the University of Oregon, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology, General from 2015 to 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, Samantha continued their education at the same institution, earning a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from 2019 to 2020.
