Lauren Okerman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Lauren is currently the Creative Director at Sisu Magazine since October 2018. Prior to this, they held the same position at Coalition Snow starting in 2015. From 2010 to 2016, Lauren worked as a Designer at Folklaur Studio, where they focused on innovative and thought-provoking work in architecture, art, and design. Lauren also has experience as a Designer at Ashdown Downey, where they worked on design and production for retail, commercial, and food service clients, as well as assisted in ada compliance surveys. Before that, Lauren worked as a Junior Designer at VDK Architects, specializing in commercial and institutional projects. Lauren started their career as a Corporate Paralegal at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and later became a Research Analyst at Bear Stearns & Company, specializing in high-grade bond research. Additionally, Lauren was a Marketing Intern at SoBe Beverage Company, where they were involved in branding, marketing strategy, and sales for a start-up beverage brand.

Lauren Okerman completed their education history with a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree from Rhode Island School of Design, where they studied Architecture from 2001 to 2004. Before that, they attended Colgate University from 1995 to 1999, where they focused on Behavioral Neuroscience without completing a degree. Prior to college, they attended The Hotchkiss School from 1991 to 1995, earning a degree identified as "Hiskool."
