Glen Merx

Glen Merx has over 20 years of work experience, with the majority of their career spent at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Glen started in 1999 as a Houseperson and gradually worked their way up to become a Recruitment Manager and Human Resources Advisor. In 2016, they joined Coast Hotels as the People & Culture Manager, where they eventually became the Director of People and Culture. Glen's expertise lies in human resources, recruitment, and labor relations.

Glen Merx has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Victoria. Glen also has a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resources from Royal Roads University. In addition, Glen holds a CPHR Designation from the Human Resource Management Association and is a DDI Certified Trainer from Development Dimensions International.
