Paul Trefry

Paul Trefry has a diverse and extensive work experience in various financial roles. Paul is currently serving as the Managing Director Sponsor Finance at CoBank, where they are responsible for assisting the bank's relationship managers in sourcing eligible loans across different industry verticals. Prior to their current role, Paul was the Head of Loan Trading and Asset Sourcing at CoBank.

Before joining CoBank, Paul worked at Black Hawk Energy Advisors as the Managing Member, CFO, and Head of Capital Markets. Their responsibilities included managing the firm's finances and capital markets activities in the oil and gas industry.

Paul also has experience as the CEO and Executive Director of OPERATION LOVE THE CHILDREN OF HAITI INCORPORATED, where they implemented a strategic plan to reposition an orphanage for success in a challenging environment.

In addition, Paul served as a Partner and Head of Capital Markets at Panamax Capital, a merchant banking firm providing capital, trade finance, and advisory services. Paul was responsible for expanding the company's global capital markets business and driving expansion into the US market.

Prior to Panamax Capital, Paul founded Trefry & Company, a consulting firm that provided advice on capital preservation and access to new debt capital. Paul was also retained as an expert witness in a high-profile bank loan syndication case.

Paul's earlier experiences include roles at Black Diamond Capital Management, NewStar Financial, FleetBoston Securities, and Fleet Securities, where they held various senior management positions in leveraged finance, debt capital markets, and acquisition finance.
