Alex Gower

Alex Gower is an experienced consultant and virtual CFO with a strong background in finance, accounting, and cloud systems. Currently serving as a Consultant at Excalibur since May 2017, Alex specializes in aiding SMEs with award-winning cloud systems, particularly in automating accounting information into Xero. In addition, Alex has held virtual CFO roles at both twnty5. and Cobb & Co., an iconic New Zealand restaurant brand, since January 2019 and 2015 respectively. Previous experience includes a position as a Tax Consultant at KPMG New Zealand, where Alex advised clients on GST repercussions, and as Payroll & Accounts Manager at Mackintosh Shearing, managing payroll for New Zealand's largest sheep shearing contractor. Alex holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce with a Finance major from the University of Otago.
