Aqueel Ahmed, FRM, CAIA, PMP has a diverse range of experience in finance and project management. Aqueel currently serves as the Head of Finance and Product at Cobbler, where they lead a global team of financial managers and oversees strategic finance activities for the business. Aqueel has successfully implemented automated scripts using R to identify transaction errors, resulting in a 63% reduction in close process times. Aqueel has also developed a flexible data model to meet various customer needs and manages relationships with important customers and investors.

Prior to joining Cobbler, Aqueel worked as the Head of Finance at MemSQL, where they led a global team and was responsible for all finance and accounting aspects of the business. Aqueel implemented automated scripts using R to analyze customer data and provided detailed customer analysis. Aqueel also led a cross-functional team to increase deal velocity and proposed pricing and deal structure changes that led to a 50% increase in new logo acquisition. Aqueel created weekly reports for billing forecasts and maintained investor presentations and board decks.

Before their role at MemSQL, Aqueel worked as a Senior Finance Manager at Palo Alto Networks from 2016 to 2020. Aqueel Ahmed, FRM, CAIA, PMP, has a strong educational background with a focus on business and finance. Aqueel obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Northwestern University from 2014 to 2016, specializing in Analytical Finance, Marketing, Strategy, and Decision Making. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from the University of Southern California from 2009 to 2011. Aqueel also holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, which they completed from 2005 to 2006. Furthermore, they have a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Aqueel has also obtained several certifications. Aqueel obtained the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from GARP in April 2008 and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) certification from the CAIA Association in March 2010.
