Azia Nxumalo

Azia Nxumalo has a diverse work history in the field of human resources. Azia most recently worked as a Unit Head in Human Resources at Coega Development Corporation since July 2023. Prior to that, from October 2017 to July 2023, they were a Human Resources Manager at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases. Azia also worked as an Independent Consultant, providing HR professional services from December 2016 to September 2017. At The Timken Company, they served as an HR Consultant from October to November 2016 and as the Manager for HR and Organizational Advancement from February 2011 to September 2016. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Sun International, Tibiyo Takwane, Royal Swazi Sugar Corporation, Reebok SA, and Transwerk.

Azia Nxumalo began their education at St. Michaels High School in Swaziland from 1981 to 1985. Azia then pursued a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Public Administration and Sociology at the University of Swaziland, completing their studies from 1986 to 1990. Following this, they attended the University of Natal from 1992 to 1993, obtaining an Honours degree in Social Science with a focus on Human Resources. Azia later studied at Damelin in 2003, earning a Diploma in Business Administration and Management. Lastly, they attended Milpark Education in 2013 and 2014, successfully completing their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General.
