Noah Karsky

Noah Karsky has extensive experience in the field of data engineering and has worked at multiple companies. Noah is currently employed at Cognite as a Senior Data Engineer, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to this role, they were a Data Engineer II at Cognite from June 2022. Before joining Cognite, Noah worked as a Data Engineer at the same company starting from August 2021.

Earlier in their career, Noah worked at ExxonMobil as a Geoscience Technician from June 2018 to August 2021. In this role, they supported geoscience and reservoir engineering through various tasks, including data visualization, data integration, and automation. Noah utilized tools such as pandas, spatial components, and unsupervised machine learning to clean, transform, and enhance data. Noah also created clean visuals for end consumers and decision makers.

Additionally, Noah gained experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Houston from October 2016 to May 2018. In this role, they conducted fieldwork, measured stratigraphic sections, recorded structural data, and collected field samples for detrital zircon analysis. Noah processed samples and conducted provenance analyses using LA-ICPMS, compiling data into interpretable graphics.

Before their time at the University of Houston, Noah worked as a Guest Service Agent at The Whitehall Houston from February 2016 to November 2017.

Noah Karsky obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Geology with a minor in Geophysics from the University of Houston between the years 2014 and 2018. In addition, they obtained a certification in Python for Machine Learning from Enthought in August 2018.
