Brent Vaughan

Brent Vaughan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Brent is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Cognito Therapeutics, Inc., a company focused on developing therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. Prior to this, they were a Board Member and the CEO & Founder of Kuzani Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they worked on advancing a new medicine for the treatment of pediatric autism.

In addition to their pharmaceutical roles, Brent has also been involved in healthcare venture capital as a part of Morningside. Brent has served as an Advisor and the CEO & Co-Founder of Cognoa, a leading pediatric behavioral health company that has developed breakthrough diagnostic and therapeutic products for autism.

Earlier in their career, Brent was the COO & Co-Founder of WellnessFX, a company that provided personalized health data dashboards to consumers. Brent has also held senior positions in strategic business development and business operations at BioArchitecture Labs, KineMed, Inc, Chiron Corporation, and saegis pharmaceuticals. Furthermore, they have experience in marketing and business development at inhale therapeutic systems.

Throughout their career, Brent Vaughan has demonstrated expertise in leadership, business development, strategic planning, and corporate strategy execution.

Brent Vaughan earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis, where they studied from 1981 to 1986. Later on, they pursued further education at Santa Clara University, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing & Finance from 1989 to 1991.
