Russell Rotondo has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in the field of cardiology. Russell is currently serving as the VP Clinical Strategy for Cardiovascular Disease at Cohere Health since July 2021. Prior to that, from May 2019 to June 2021, they held the position of Reviewing Medical Director at Humana.

Before transitioning to these leadership positions, Rotondo worked as a Clinical Cardiologist at NORTH KNOXVILLE MEDICAL CENTER - TENNOVA and St. Mary's Medical Center - East TN Heart Consultants from July 1993 to May 2019. Additionally, they served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Medicine, specifically Cardiology, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center from July 1991 to June 1993.

Russell Rotondo has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Brown University, earned from 1976 to 1980. Russell then attended Brown University School of Medicine from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. From 1985 to 1987, they pursued an Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Following that, from 1987 to 1988, they were a Senior Internal Medicine resident at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. Finally, from 1988 to 1991, they completed a Research and Clinical Cardiology Fellowship at Washington University Medical Center.
