Horacio Fernández del Castillo Sainz is a seasoned architect with extensive experience in conservation and urbanism. Since 1992, Fernández del Castillo Sainz has served as Senior Counselor and Founder at FDCA Architects. In addition, a visiting professor at Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid since October 2015, Fernández del Castillo Sainz teaches in the Master in Real State program. As an Expert Member of ICOMOS-Spain since 2015, contributions have been made towards the preservation of cultural heritage sites, alongside involvement in the International Scientific Committee for the Conservation of the Heritage of the 20th Century. Previous roles include President of SHANGHAI SAINASIA, Head of the Department of Construction and Infrastructures at EMVS, and Architect at the Beaux-Arts General Directorate of the Spanish Ministry of Culture. Educational credentials include multiple master's degrees in architecture, rehabilitation and restoration, urbanism, and historic preservation from prestigious institutions in Spain.
