Krista Young

Krista Young joins the CGMH Board with more than 30 years of experience in various leadership roles, in the Long-Term Care and Retirement sector. Additionally, she previously held the role of Co-Chair for the South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre (SGBCHC) Board in Wasaga Beach. She possesses a Bachelor of Arts and has multiple Gerontology and Leadership Certifications.

Krista has committed her career and life to better the lives of those who require care. Throughout her career, she has maintained regular contact with various local hospitals and has worked with many health services. She also held a part-time teaching role in Gerontology at Georgian College in Barrie.

Krista received certification in Quality Improvement through Ontario Health Quality and consulted with local businesses to establish infection control best practices, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A longtime resident of Simcoe Muskoka, Krista has strong ties to CGMH - the hospital where she was born.
