Gerald L. Hassell

Gerald L. Hassell has served as a director since May 2008. He was the Chief Executive Officer of The Bank of New York Mellon from 2011 until July 2017, and was Chairman of its Board until December 2017. Prior to the merger of The Bank of New York Company, Inc. and Mellon Financial Corporation in July 2007, Mr. Hassell was President of The Bank of New York Company, Inc. and The Bank of New York. Mr. Hassell is a member of the board of trustees of Duke University, a member of the board of visitors of Columbia University Medical Center, Vice Chairman of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New York and a member of the board of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
