Msod Alison Thornton

Alison Thornton, MSOD, SHRM-SCP has a diverse and extensive work experience in organizational development and human resources. Alison is currently serving as the Director of Talent Development at CommunityAmerica Credit Union since June 2021. Previously, Alison worked as the Director of Organizational Development at NeuAnalytics from July 2018 to June 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Organizational Development Practitioner at Children's Mercy Hospital from April 2012 to July 2018. Alison also has experience as an HR Training and Development Specialist at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City from August 2010 to May 2012. Alison started their career at Argus Health Systems as a Senior Organizational Performance & Education Specialist from January 2007 to August 2010. Alison also worked with DST Output as a Human Resources Coordinator from November 2005 to January 2007, and as a Human Resources Assistant at Lakeview Village, Inc. from April 2003 to 2005. Alison began their professional journey at DST Output as a Human Resources Assistant from September 2001 to April 2003. Alison's first job was as a Patient Service Representative at the University of Kansas Medical Center until September 2001.

Alison Thornton, MSOD, SHRM-SCP holds a Master's of Science degree in Organizational Development Psychology, which they obtained from Avila University between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Northwest Missouri State University from 1995 to 1999, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology/Sociology. In 2013 to 2016, Alison attended Avila University once again and earned a certification in Leadership Coaching. Additionally, they obtained the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in June 2020.
