Nadia Swanson, LCSW, currently serves as the Director of Technical Assistance and Advocacy at The Ali Forney Center and works as a Psychotherapist at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center. Nadia has held various roles in organizations focused on social work, including as an Adjunct Professor at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter and as a social worker for the National Student Council at GLSEN. Previous positions include Advisory Council member at the Arab-American Family Support Center, therapist at The Institute for Human Identity, Inc., and Director of Training and Capacity Building for the Gender & Family Project at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Nadia's earlier experience includes roles at The Ali Forney Center, SCO Family of Services, and The Child Is Innocent. Nadia holds a Master's degree in Social Work with a focus on International Social Work from Rutgers University and a Bachelor's degree in Dance and Anthropology from Hofstra University.
