Micki Parks has worked for four different companies. In 2020, they began their role as Content Strategist at CompanyCam, where they were responsible for crafting overall content strategy with the content team, ensuring all web-based content was SEO optimized, and managing and coordinating with Marketing Managers, Business Development, and Customer Success teams on content development. Micki then became a Content Manager, captioning, publishing, and organizing all Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn content, responding to and moderating post comments, direct messages, and Facebook group conversations, and generating blog content through customer interviews, industry research, and culture stories. Prior to this, Micki worked as a Resident Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2018, educating students on University policy and mediating incidents involving alcohol, drugs, Title IV, mental health, roommate conflict, etc., assisting residents with their transition to college, and advertising university and floor events. In 2019, Micki was a Marketing & Sales and Graphic Design Intern at the Lied Center for Performing Arts, following up on group sales inquiries and lapsed season ticket holders through email and phone calls, building community awareness of upcoming Lied Center performances and outreach opportunities, and researching promotional tactics and analyzing data provided to the Lied Center. Finally, Micki also worked as a Summer Camp Counselor at WinShape Camps in 2019, creating a living environment that allowed the campers to be vulnerable and open to what camp had for them, and advising and mentoring teenagers to pursue their passions.
Micki Parks obtained a Bachelor of Journalism in Advertising from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln between 2017 and 2021. In 2021, they also obtained five additional certifications from LinkedIn, including Critical Thinking for More Effective Communication, Mistakes You Should Avoid at Work, How to Crush Self-Doubt and Build Self-Confidence, SEO: Link Building, and 15 Secrets Successful People Know about Time Management (getAbstract Summary).
