Kevin Holden

Scientific Advisor at Compound Foods

Kevin Holden is the current Scientific Advisor at Compound Foods. Kevin has also previously worked as an intern at Novozymes and as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis. Holden's research has focused on gene mutagenesis in Borrelia burgdorferi, molecular pathogenesis, population kinetics, host immunological responses, antimicrobial and antibody-based therapeutic approaches, and tick vector transmission/detection aspects. Kevin has developed skills in bacterial, insect and mammalian cell culture, scarless vector cloning and molecular biology assembly techniques. Holden's research has resulted in several publications and invited presentations.

Kevin Holden holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis. Their designated emphasis is in Biotechnology. Kevin also holds an MS in Molecular and Microbiology from San Jose State University, as well as a BS in Molecular Biology from the same school.
