Dawn Assoon

Dawn Assoon is an experienced professional in the field of social work and behavioral support, currently serving as the Assistant Program Director and Clinical Team Leader for the CSIDD NY START Program at YAI since January 2022. Dawn's background includes roles such as ABA Paraprofessional at Comprehensive Behavior Supports, Intensive Case Coordinator at InterFaith Works of CNY, and various supervisory positions at Exceptional Family Resources. With a Master of Social Work from Syracuse University, a Bachelor's degree from Montclair State University, and an Associate degree from Bergen Community College, Dawn possesses a diverse skill set in developing and implementing support plans, mentoring individuals, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of life for clients. Additional experience spans across various educational and social service settings, reinforcing expertise in behavioral intervention and community habilitation.
