Michelle Mahler has a varied and extensive work experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. Michelle currently holds the position of Vice President Clinical Development at Compugen. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Medical Officer at 1E Therapeutics and as the VP Clinical Development at C4 Therapeutics, Inc. Michelle also held multiple roles at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, including Executive Medical Director, Research and Development and Senior Director, Global Medical Affairs Leader Hematology. Before transitioning to the industry, Michelle completed a Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and a Pediatric Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Michelle began their career as a Medical Intern at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in South Africa.

Michelle Mahler attended the University of the Witwatersrand from 1995 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree in the field of Medicine. Additionally, Michelle Mahler obtained their Board Certification as a Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist from the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in March 2011.
