John Jenkins

John Jenkins, MD, currently serves as the Medical Director of School Based Care at Cone Health, a position held since January 2020, and contributes as faculty for Greensboro AHEC, focusing on digital health potential. Additionally, John has been providing consultancy services for digital health strategy since September 2019. Previously, John held the role of Clinical Academic Resource Director at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from January 2021 to June 2023. Before that, John served as Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for Connected Care at Cone Health from July 2014 to September 2019, where John led a telehealth start-up, drove lean process improvements, and engaged with the community. John Jenkins earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, completing the Internal Medicine Residency Program between 1984 and 1988.
