Mark Gordon

Regional President, Burlington & Reidsville Markets & SVP, Cone Health at Cone Health

Mark Gordon, FACHE, serves senior vice president, Cone Health and president, Alamance Regional Medical Center. He joined Cone Health in 2020.

Gordon was born in Pinehurst, NC. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in health policy administration from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and his Master of Health Services from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. There he was a Foster G. McGaw Scholar. His postgraduate studies include executive education in health care delivery at Harvard University’s School of Business and Wake Forest University.

Gordon has previously served as the chief executive officer at Bon Secours Mercy Memorial Regional Medical Center’s and its College of Nursing for four years. During his tenure with the $3.0 billion multistate Catholic health system, Mark also served as CEO at St. Francis Medical Center and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. His distinguished career also includes leadership positions at Duke Health, Mission Health, Vidant Health and Forbes Health systems.

Gordon’s servant leadership also includes working with the Racial Reconciliation Project in Richmond, Virginia.
