Deanna Riese

Deanna Riese has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Deanna began their career as a Head Camp Counsellor at the YMCA, where they planned and executed activities for young children. Deanna then worked at the Greenway Chaplin Community Center as a Summer Camp Coordinator, where they performed administrative duties and supervised a team of camp leaders.

Deanna also worked at Tim Hortons as a Team Member and Informal Supervisor, and at the University of Waterloo as a Shelving Staff member, Volunteer exercise assistant, and Anatomy Lab Teaching Assistant. In these roles, they demonstrated attention to detail, provided support to cancer patients, and taught anatomy to high school and college groups.

Deanna's most recent work experience was at MyoWorx Physiotherapy, where they held several positions over a span of six years. Deanna began as a Registered Kinesiologist, implementing treatment plans for patients with chronic pain conditions. Deanna then served as an Assistant Manager/Registered Kinesiologist and eventually became a Manager/Registered Kinesiologist, where they managed a team of kinesiologists and admin staff.

Additionally, Deanna has experience as a Musician, Event Promoter, and Social Media Correspondent for various bands including Footbridge Road and The 7's and 9's. Deanna utilized social media and email to organize and promote music events, negotiated with venue owners, and performed as a keyboardist and lead vocalist.

Deanna also volunteered as a Side Walker at Pathways Physiotherapy, where they assisted in therapy sessions, and as a exercise assistant at the University of Waterloo, where they worked with cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Currently, Deanna is working as an Office Coordinator at Conestoga College, where they utilize their administrative skills. Overall, Deanna Riese has demonstrated a diverse range of skills and experiences throughout their career.

Deanna Riese obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. During their time at the University of Waterloo, they also pursued a minor in English Language and Literature, which they completed in the same time frame. Prior to attending university, Deanna completed their secondary education at Southwood Secondary School from 2009 to 2012 and earned their OSSD. In addition to their formal education, Deanna has obtained several certifications, including "Autism in the Workplace" from LinkedIn in July 2023, "Modern Project Management in Microsoft 365" from LinkedIn in May 2023, "Mental Health First Aid" from the Mental Health Commission of Canada in March 2023, "Intercultural Customer Service: Building Intercultural Sensitivity for Our Work at Conestoga" from Conestoga College in January 2023, "Google Project Management Certificate" from Coursera in November 2022, "Outlook Essential Training (Microsoft 365)" from LinkedIn in October 2022, "Quality Management Foundations" from LinkedIn in March 2022, and "High Five - Principles of Healthy Child Development" in June 2014.
