Janette Thor

Janette Thor has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Janette started their career at NextEnergy in 2007 as an Inside Sales/Warranty Specialist. In 2009, they joined BRC Mechanical Inc as an HVAC & Geothermal Consultant, where they successfully sold $1M worth of products and maintained a 70% closing rate. From 2011 to 2013, Janette worked at Everest College as an Employment Specialist, teaching career-related courses and establishing partnerships with community businesses. Janette then became the Director of Career Services at Everest College Canada from 2013 to 2015, where they focused on driving placement rates and managing a team of Employment Specialists. In 2016, they joined March of Dimes Canada as an Employer & Client Coordinator, collaborating with employers and assisting job seekers in achieving employment goals. Janette's most recent position is at Conestoga College, where they have held roles as a Workforce & Corporate Training Specialist, Manager of Workforce Development & Corporate Training, Associate Director of Workforce Development, and currently serves as the Director of Workforce Development-Continuing Education & Online Learning.
