Karen Sanchez Godinez

Karen Sanchez Godinez is a Math Teacher at Coney Island Prep. Before their current role, Karen served as a Corps Member at Teach For America. Karen also interned at the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women's Center at the University of Virginia and was the President and Vice President of the Latinx Student Network at Mcintire. Additionally, Karen has experience as an Analytics Intern at Initiative and as a MAIP 2021 Fellow at 4A's. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from UVA McIntire School of Commerce, a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from the University of Virginia, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching at Relay Graduate School of Education.
