Jochai Ben-Avie

Jochai Ben-Avie is the Co-Founder & CEO of Connect Humanity, a fund advancing digital equity. They are also the Steering Committee Co-Chair at the same company. Jochai is a National Security Fellow at Truman National Security Project and a Non-Resident Fellow at Atlantic Council, exploring the intersection of tech, policy, and human rights. They are also a Global Shaper at World Economic Forum and Board Member & Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee at Code for Science and Society. In addition, Jochai works as a Consultant at Open Collective Foundation, leading the review process of a global RFP on digital infrastructure. With a background in policy and advocacy, they have worked at Mozilla as Head of International Public Policy, Senior Global Policy Manager, and Internet Policy Manager. Prior to that, they held various policy roles at Access Now and Impact Analysis & Strategy Group. Jochai holds a BA summa cum laude in Political Studies and Social Psychology from Bard College at Simon's Rock and was a visiting student at University of Oxford in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE).
