Matt Fuqua

Matt Fuqua is a Data Engineer at CONNECT, powered by American Family Insurance, since February 2022, contributing to the development of a centralized loss reserving data source and enhancing ETL processes using Cloud Composer and Apache Airflow. Previously, as an Associate Data Solutions Engineer, Matt managed data pipelines to GCP BigQuery and implemented control checks for data validation. With extensive experience in claims and adjustments from American Family Insurance and Progressive Insurance, including a role as Direct Repair Program Senior Adjuster, Matt has cultivated strong analytical and stakeholder management skills. Matt holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on Data Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington Tacoma.
