About CSS and the position 

Delivering reliable solutions for complex subsea challenges, everyone in CSS plays an essential part in maintaining critical offshore connections for oil and gas operations worldwide. 

As a Project Manager/Engineer in CSS you will have a key, central role in the company. Acting as the hub of the operations side of the business, you will co-ordinate the manufacture and testing of equipment whilst ensuring that customer requirements are met. You will interact and work with all departments at CSS, at all levels of the business, be customer facing and work with our external supply chain. As CSS is a truly worldwide operator, you will be interacting with colleagues, customers and suppliers from a variety of cultures and locations. Duties and responsibilities 

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with project deliverables and requirements, whilst working within CSS procedures and policies.

  • Responsible for the project progressing according to agreed schedule and budget, whilst liaising with internal colleagues and external supply chain.

  • Responsible for ensuring HSE and quality within the project, working with the CSS QHSE Engineer.

  • Responsible for coordinating and leading project resources.

  • Ensure communication with the customer and chair/participate in external meetings.

  • Compiling/creating and controlling project documentation including submission to customer.

  • Responsible for project reporting internally, and to the customer, as required by the project.

  • Participate in internal meetings relating to the project or ongoing CSS business.

  • Other activities required to fulfil project scope of work.

  • Involvement with workshop activities relating to the assembly, testing and packaging of equipment.

  • There may be some infrequent travel required; this could be within the UK, Europe or Worldwide.

Job requirements 

  • Relevant education, preference is given to Engineering qualifications.

  • Recent relevant experience in Project Management, Operations, Project Execution, Manufacturing or similar.

  • Ability to comprehend technical specifications and detailed engineering drawings.

  • Preference is given to experience/knowledge of such activities as forging, machining, welding, metallurgy or similar.

  • Preference is given to experience working within the oil and gas industry.
