General Summary:

The Director of FP&A is responsible for leading a team of entry level to experienced professionals focused on maintaining best-in-class reporting tools to support the organization’s budgeting, forecasting, and actuals reporting on a cyclical basis, with full ownership and governance around management reporting validation and auditable support. This role supports cross-functional teams by working with stakeholders to provide key reporting and consumable analysis to the board and senior management team for strategic planning and decision-making support.

What You'll Do:

  • Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
  • Typically manages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams
  • Influences others to accept practices and approaches
  • Communicates and influences executive leadership
  • Owns short to mid-term execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the FP&A team
  • Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team
  • Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team
  • Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency
  • Refines and improves tools, reports, and procedures to optimize the planning and forecasting process
  • Contributes to internal management reporting and Board of Directors reporting packages
  • Monitors and interprets regular report results to identify key business opportunities and leading 
    indicators of risks, advising the leadership team on appropriate actions
  • Recommends operational and financial process improvement practices to ensure data integrity and 
    maximization of internal resources to create a robust internal reporting platform
  • Optimizes business operations by developing data-driven analyses and KPI metrics to identify key trends, 
    potential risks, and opportunities
  • Develops strong reconciliation process and streamlines reporting sources for all headcount analytics 
    reporting across the company, creating a full compensation analytics internal reporting package
  • Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including revenue drivers, operating costs 
    and leading/lagging indicators, and benchmarking analyses
  • Streamlines management pro forma reporting components across the company, maintaining strong and 
    consistent auditable support and calculation methodology validation
  • Works with functional leaders to provide monthly performance packages with consumable findings of 
    results and key drivers to support and facilitate future decisions within each function
  • Performs tasks at the highest level of accuracy and efficiency in accordance with US GAAP and the 
    organization’s financial policies
  • Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, as needed

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
  • Travel required if not local to Tampa
