Partner Development Executive

General Summary:

The Partner Development Executive is responsible for engaging with existing partners after the onboarding phase to ensure they have received the necessary products and information. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to confirm the partners readiness with products and to leverage marketing offerings to accelerate penetration of their existing customer base.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Sales teams, with a high attention to detail 
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings 
  • May coach, review, and/or delegate work to other team members 
  • Generates discrete quota from cross-selling and expanding products and services with existing partner base 
  • Executes the Managed Service Providers (MSP) Cybersecurity Playbook to enable ConnectWise to sell through the partner into their existing client base and to acquire new customers 
  • Works closely with the Channel Marketing team to leverage resources and investments to support partner growth 
  • Works closely with the Channel Enablement team to prepare the partner for sales and technical readiness 
  • Works with the partner to generate a pipeline of qualified partner opportunities sufficient to exceed annual sales goals 
  • Meets monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

  • Ability to manage large projects and processes independently with limited supervision 
  • Recognized subject matter expert of applicable work area 
  • Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per partner requirements 
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience presenting & selling to IT & business stakeholders 
  • Ability to run at high-volume transaction pace and complex transactions 
  • Working knowledge of Cybersecurity, MSP, Technology Service Providers (TSP), and Value-Added Resellers (VAR) industry  
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies/qualification process (Challenger, SPIN, MEDDIC, BANT) 
  • Working knowledge of Client Management Software such as Salesforce 

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field or equivalent business experience   
  • 6+ years of related experience 

Working Conditions:

  • Remote or hybrid depending on location  
  • 10-20% travel may be required
