Monet M.

Monet M. has a diverse range of work experiences. They have been a Charles Blaschke Education Technology Policy Fellow at the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at New York University's Academic Achievement Program (AAP), where they assisted in event planning and coordination, facilitated collaboration between committees, and provided mentorship to undergraduate students. Monet also served as a Program Coordinator at Clinton Hill Middle School (CHMS) for Prospect Schools in 2021. In the same year, they were selected as a Scholar at the Institute for Recruitment of Teachers, participating in workshops, webinars, and counseling sessions to develop professional and academic skills. Monet gained experience in research and project support as an Intern at RadicalMedia LLC in 2020, where they conducted research, managed data, and transcribed interviews. They also worked as a Student Library Assistant at Scripps College from 2017 to 2020, assisting with technology tutorials, research support, and general inquiries. Monet's earlier experiences include roles as a Production Intern at ClassPass, a Social Media Manager for PIU PIU Film by Naima Ramos-Chapman, and an Intern at Oath, where they contributed to social media campaigns and marketing strategies. They also served as a Peer Mentor at Reel Works, teaching filmmaking to high school students and participating in a narrative filmmaking lab program.

Monet M. completed their high school education at Brooklyn Friends School from 2014 to 2017, earning a High School Diploma. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Scripps College from 2017 to 2021. Currently, Monet is furthering their education at New York University, pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from 2022 to 2024.
