Lucy Gray

Project Director, Digital Equity at Consortium for School Networking

Lucy Gray has worked in the education field for over thirty years. Lucy began their career as a teacher at Chicago Public Schools in 1990. In 2000, they joined the University of Chicago as a Technology Specialist, Lead Technology Coach, and Middle School Computer Science Teacher. In 2007, they co-founded GlobalEd Events, a social network for educators interested in global education initiatives. In 2010, they joined the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) as a Project Director and started their own consultancy, Lucy Gray Consulting, where they conducted independent consultancy work in education for clients such as About.com, Chicago Public Schools, and CUE Inc. In 2012, they became a Senior Collaborator at Educational Collaborators, where they were a member of technology audit teams and conducted training. In 2018, they took on the role of Director of Educational Technology at North Shore Country Day School. Finally, in 2021, they co-founded Actionable Innovations Global, a collaborative professional learning community for innovative educators that merged with the Global Education Conference Network. Lucy also created the Actionable Innovations Group, a group consultancy.

Lucy Gray attended Lake Forest Country Day from 1971 to 1981, followed by Lake Forest High School from 1981 to 1984. Lucy then obtained a B.A in Art History and Elementary Education from Beloit College between 1984 and 1989. In 1999, they earned a M.Ed in Technology in Education from National Louis University, which they completed in 2002.
