Trausti Arnason

Trausti Arnason has a strong background in software engineering and product management. Trausti worked at TM Software as a Software Engineer, where they designed and developed software for the seafood industry. After that, they joined Marel and held various positions, including Software Engineer & Consultant and Manager Solution and Technical Support. Trausti played a key role in integrating and building up software delivery and service teams after the merger of Scanvægt with Marel. Trausti also served as the Global Service Director, where they established the first global service organization and implemented global service processes. Arnason later became the Global Service Development Director, focusing on aligning and digitalizing service processes. Trausti then joined Skaginn 3X as the Director of Technical Solutions, overseeing engineering, product strategy, and logistics. Currently, Arnason is working at Controlant, first as the VP of Product and now as the Senior Vice President of Product.

Trausti Arnason has a diploma in Applied Computing from Reykjavik University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1996. Trausti also completed their matriculation examination in Natural Sciences at Menntaskólinn á Ísafirði from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, they earned a Lean Management certification from Reykjavik University in 2013. Trausti furthered their education by pursuing an Executive Management program in Organizational Leadership at INSEAD from 2020 to 2021.
